    Japanese Black Pines

Below is the list of Japanese Black Pine varieties currently held at Canada Bonsai.

In development are pre-bonsai, bonsai, and larger potted trees for gardens and landscapes.

Standard Japanese Black Pines are grown from seedling cuttings, as are the two rough bark varieties from Awaji and Tokushima (coming 2023)

The 'Kotobuki', 'Nishiki' (cork bark), and 'Yatsubusa' varieties are grafted onto standard Japanese Black Pines. These grafts are made as low as possible, and will eventually fade into the nebari of the tree as it matures.
